We are excited to see your athletes and build this team up starting next Saturday, 10/26/24. There are 2 tryout days, but if you can only attend one, that is okay. We would like to see you both days!
Check-in starts at 12:30pm. Tryouts will begin around 1:00pm and last until approximately 3:00pm.
We would like to see pitching as well as hitting and fielding.
Catchers: be sure to bring your gear.

Attention 7th Grade Reitz District Baseball players. The Reitz Cub Baseball tryouts are this Sunday from 1:00-3:00 at the Barker Field. 7th & 8th-grade players are available to try out for the 2024/2025 Reitz Cub Baseball team. Last week was 8th grade only, but this week will be both 7th and 8th graders. Players should arrive by 12:30 so they are stretched and ready to go at 1pm.

Very excited to announce that I will be coaching the sport I am fond of and have been involved with all my life. My goal with a junior legion team is to be competitive, develop skills, but also to just have fun and play ball. Playing Funkhouser was some of the best times I had as a player.
American Legion baseball is a summer league for high school players. Funkhouser baseball has been a program for 96 years and has produced great ball players who have went on to play in college and beyond.
Legion baseball plays competitively against other legion teams. Teams are made up of baseball players from local high schools close to their post. Games will be played more through the week and close to home. Funkhouser also has a senior team coached by Mater Dei’s cub coach, Phil Wells.
Can’t wait to help grow legion ball in our area.
